FAQ

Is The Woodhouse Day Spa® franchise the right opportunity for me?

If you are passionate about helping others live a healthy lifestyle while building a business in an industry that is booming, then The Woodhouse may be the right choice for you. We look for people who are passionate about wellness and take a hands-on approach to building their business. We seek energetic individuals who enjoy working with people. Ideal candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit, solid business and sales skills, and play an active role in the communities in which they live and work. A background in the spa industry is not needed.

What are the financial requirements for becoming a Woodhouse franchisee?

Becoming a Woodhouse Day Spa Franchise Partner requires a minimum liquid capital of $250,000 and minimum net worth of $1,000,000. This level of capital is required to ensure the business is appropriately capitalized.

What is the initial franchise fee?

The franchise fee is $48,000. In a multi-unit development agreement, the franchise fee varies and is collected accordingly.

What is the cost of opening a Woodhouse Day Spa?

The Initial Investment for opening a Woodhouse Day Spa in the U.S. is estimated between $652,350 and $835,200. We will disclose all candidates with a Franchise Disclosure Document and break down the investment at the appropriate time.

Does The Woodhouse offer financing?

We recommend that you seek financing from a local financial institution. The Woodhouse has certain third-party leasing relationships that may provide partial funding. Additionally, The Woodhouse is listed on the Small Business Administration’s franchise registry, which can expedite the SBA lending process.

What type of training is provided?

Extensive. There are 3 phases of training (Onboarding, Initial, On-Site) that will prepare you to build and operate your spa. The Woodhouse has immense industry experience and provides proactive support for our Franchise Partners throughout the life of your franchise agreement.

How do I find a site for my spa?

Finding the right location is one of the key factors that drives the success of a business. The Woodhouse helps you find a quality site for your spa by identifying and approving locations that fit the parameters of our requirements. We work with a real estate company that will visit the site, provide unit information, and assist you with lease negotiations.

What is unique about the top operators in the system?

The top operators are great leaders who build great teams. These operators recognize the value of working “on” their business rather than working “in” their business. They are very dedicated to community involvement and have aligned themselves with organizations that keep them and their business in view of the community. They also are very dedicated to furthering the Woodhouse Day Spa brand and commit themselves to following procedures and advice made available to them by the policies that are in place for the franchise system.

Will I have a protected territory for my spa?

Yes. Territories vary by market, type of agreement, and other demographical data.
